Fly fishing is synonymous with paradise for Steve, and the perfect name for the company where he maintains his interests in various angling concerns. This is a guy who actually walks the talk with fly fishing lodge experience in Tierra del Fuego, a helicopter service in northern Argentina, and founding partnerships in the Rainbow River Lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska, the Grizzly Hackle Fly Shop in Missoula, Montana; and most recently, Wild On The Fly Travel in Boulder, Colorado where we extend an warm welcome.

Grizzly Hackle Fly Shop – Missoula, Montana

Dan and childhood pals Steve Jensen (above) and Ray Coleman purchased the Grizzly Hackle Fly Shop in Missoula, Montana from its original founder in 2001. They then proceeded to build it into one of the top destination shops in the country. When Wild On The Fly Travel developed its unique online Packing List concept we were looking for a retail partner with strong outfitting knowledge and a best-of-brand gear and fly inventory developed through genuine hands-on experience. Dan and his staff at the Grizzly Hackle fit the bill perfectly.

The Palometa Club – Ascension Bay, Mexico

Wild On The Fly has been involved with The Palometa Club since its inception in 2005 when we were asked by its founder Don MacKenzie (one of our investors) to help launch the Club, and handle its bookings. Don recruited veteran lodge manager Dick Cameron, who in turn assembled an exceptional staff and guide corp. Through their unwavering commitment to quality and service Dick and his wife Kaye have built The Palometa Club into the best permit fishing operation in the world, and one of our signature properties.

Chime Lodge & Dorado Lodge – Argentina

Chime and Dorado Lodges are long envisioned dreams-come-true for their passionate founder, Argentine outfitter Martin Carranza. We are very proud to be involved in their early development and marketing, and consider both premier Wild On The Fly destinations. Chime Lodge, on the renowned Rio Chimehuin, serves up traditional Argentine hospitality with the legendary trout fishing of Patagonia. Dorado Lodge, in Salta Province, features cutting edge angling for golden dorado in the jungle watershed of the Rio Juramento.

Rainbow River Lodge – Bristol Bay, Alaska

In mutual benefit to our recent partnership with Steve Jensen (above) Wild On The Fly has aligned itself with his and Chad Hewitt’s fabulous Rainbow River Lodge on the Copper River, just south of Lake Illimani. Obvious bias aside, this is truly one of Alaska’s finest fly-out lodges fishing the hallowed trout water of Bristol Bay – due in large part to Chad’s (pictured with his wife Nicole) outstanding reputation as lodge manger and chief pilot. We are thrilled to be representing this exceptional property.
