Pic of the Day

Welcome to the Pic of the Day

Wild On The Fly has long enjoyed a respected legacy of photographic excellence as one of the first sporting publications to transcend the “grin and grip” pose and push the boundaries of piscatorial picturing. We continue to champion the power of the still image, assured by the old adage that “fish just don’t live in ugly places.”

If you’ve got a great pic of anything related to fly fishing; from a jaw-droppin’ slab, to spectacular scenery, to cultural curiosities, to the unique or funny moment, e-mail it to us complete with all the appropriate info. If we like it, we’ll run it as a Pic of the Day and you’ll earn the coveted title of Piscine Paparazzi!

February 20,2010 - PEBBLE PERMIT
The good folks at Tarpon Caye Lodge in Belize sent us some pics of Seth Berling's recent grand slam, calling it "one of the most exciting" they've ever had. Every grand slam is exciting but this one was especially poignant as Seth and his brother Parker are in Belize in the middle of an 17,000 mile bicycle to bring awareness of the Pebble Mine. debacle in Bristol Bay, Alaska. Seth (above, with the hard part of a slam) and bro keep the world aware of their effort at Pebble Pedalers.
