If you see our Premier Destination seal (with the crazy "Wildfly" icon) affixed to the door of a fly fishing lodge, stuck on one of their vehicles, boats or planes, or as a icon on their web site, know one thing for sure - they are the very BEST at what they do. For we only award ONE Premier Destination designation in any specific fishery anywhere in the world, and qualifying for one requires absolute best-in-class standards.

Unlike other "Endorsed" or "Recognized" certifications you can't become a Wild On The Fly Premier Destination by paying a large fee or agreeing to the commission terms of a booking agent. In fact you can't request, be nominated, or even apply for the recognition; you have to be invited by us. And the only way that happens is if you can clearly demonstrate that you are the very best angling operation in a fishery that also qualifies as premier and exceptional in its overall resource.

Just as individual fisheries around the world are unique, qualifying for Premier Destination status can be a result of many different criteria. Sometimes it's exemplary service, unmatched knowledge, or superior angling skills. Or it may be extraordinary food and lodging, commitment to local indigenous cultures, or adherence to high environmental standards. Often it's just overall experience and hard-won tenure. Whatever the merit, it always represents true excellence over and above that of competing operations in the same fishery.

Only destinations awarded Premier status were invited to be featured on this site. The entire collection represents the very best of the best in the angling world. While all of these Premier Destination lodges pay a modest annual service charge for development and maintenance of their extensive content on this site, there is no payment associated with the award itself and no commission or fee of any kind is paid to WIld On The Fly as a result of any bookings originated here. Anglers are shown how to book directly with the lodges (or their exclusive booking agents) thus insuring and protecting the credibility of Premier Destination recognition.
